Apprentice Business Administrator
FW Solutions are an Apprenticeship Training Provider looking for their own enthusiastic apprentice to support the busy administrative office in central Harrogate. You will learn about office administration from a business dedicated to education and career building, whilst working towards the Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard.
Working Week: 8.30 – 4.30 Mon-Thurs, 8.30-4 Fri

Duties will include:

Training to be Provided

Apprenticeships are delivered in the workplace. You will be allocated a Teaching & Learning Co-ordinator (TLC) and will have access to our on- line study area where you will find all your study materials. Your TLC will provide you with personal tutorial support and on-programme assessment at pre-arranged times.

 

End point assessment by an independent assessment organisation and comprises of three activities – knowledge test, portfolio-based interview and a project presentation.

 

You will be working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Standard (Knowledge and Understanding, Skills and Behaviours).

 

Functional Skills are at level 2 in Maths and English where applicable.

 

Childcare Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator (Harrogate and Leeds) Part Time
Brief description: To deliver high quality teaching and assessment in apprenticeships and work-based learning.

Nature of work: Home-based, field worker engaging with learners from a variety of sectors

Work hours per week: 37 hours                                                                Work timings: 8-6.30pm flexible

Roles and responsibilities:

  1. Teaching and assessing the work of learners to successfully complete their chosen qualification/apprenticeship
  2. Responsible for own caseload of 38 learners full time (pro rata part-time)
  3. Giving IAG and one to one teaching support to learners
  4. Attending a minimum of 4 full team meetings at head office per year and 5 regional STLC meetings per year
  5. Testing and invigilating learners
  6. Meticulous record keeping
  7. Monthly review of learner progress
  8. Maintaining own calendar and appointments, providing information to head office.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures
  10. Maintain up to date knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  11. Maintain a personal CPD record
  12. Progress completed learners to a higher-level qualification.

Skills, competencies, and knowledge required for the position:

Critical Desirable Optional Must not have
1. Strong written and verbal communication Demonstrate achievement of targets and working to deadlines Be able to internally verify the assessment process(IQA) Negative DBS result
2. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with learners and employers covering a broad age range. Outgoing, friendly, and confident character, with good perception and motivation. Driving disqualification
3. Able to respond quickly to change Poor references
4. Able to respond flexibly to the demands of the role
5. Commitment to Personal Development and willingness to undertake further training
6. Ability to work flexibly, systematically and prioritise workload
7. Training Provider experience

 

Experience:

Education background with an ability to respond swiftly to changes in WBL/apprenticeship provision.

Delivery of Apprenticeship Frameworks/Standards

Meeting KPI’s with a proven record of learner retention and achievement

Successful experience of partnerships with external clients and strong research abilities.

Education:

Relevant core subject to a minimum of level 3

TAQA, A1 or D32/33

Teaching qualification to a minimum of level 4

Maths, English and ICT at GCSE, level 2 or above.

Key performance indicators

  1. Maintain a case-load of 38 learners with timely achievement of 95%, retention minimum 80% and overall achievement 100%
  2. Maintain an annual record of CPD, minimum 30 hours
  3. Maintain progress review records for each learner on a monthly basis
