POST: Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator – Early Years

To deliver high quality teaching and assessment in apprenticeships and work-based learning within the childcare and education sector.

Delivering the Early Years Practitioner and Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standards

LOCATION

Home-based, field worker engaging with learners from a variety of sectors e.g. nurseries, schools, SMEs across Bradford, Leeds, Kirklees and Calderdale

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Teaching and assessing the work of learners to successfully complete their chosen qualification/apprenticeship

2. Prepare apprentices for end-point assessment

3. Retention of caseload of maximum 35 learners full time (pro rata part -time)

4. Attending a minimum of 4 full team meetings at head office per year

5. Joining monthly remote TLC meetings

6. Testing and invigilating learners

7. Ensure Functional and Digital Skills and delivered and embedded in all programs of study

8. Accurate record keeping in line with administrative policies and procedures

9. Undertake employer and learner surveys

10. Ensure on and off the job training is recorded accurately

11. Adhering to ESFA funding rules

12. Monthly review of learner progress

13. Maintaining calendar of appointments with full details of activity

14. Adhere to company policies and procedures

15. Maintain up to date knowledge of safeguarding procedures

16. Maintain a personal CPD record including all mandatory training

17. Support learners to reach their destination from starting point

18. Give learners advice and guidance on their next steps

19. High level of communication with employers

20. Be involved in FW Solutions’ Quality Assurance arrangements, including inspection by OFSTED

Experience:

Min. 2-year sector experience and recent industry experience (within last 2 years) in the Early Years sector

Meeting KPI’s with a proven record of learner retention and achievement.

Education:

Essential:

Relevant Early Years subject to a minimum of level 3

Assessment qualification – TAQA, A1 or D32/33 or equivalent

Teaching qualification to a minimum of level 4

Maths, English and ICT at GCSE, level 2 or above (or equivalent)

Desirable: IQA, V1, D34

To deliver high quality teaching and assessment in apprenticeships and work-based learning within the residential childcare

Delivering the Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard and Residential Childcare Diploma.

LOCATION

Home-based, field worker engaging with learners from a variety of sectors e.g. residential homes, foster services etc across Bradford, Leeds, Kirklees and Calderdale
