Who is this course for?

This higher level apprenticeship qualification has been developed to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to provide a flexible entry route into a career in business and professional administration. The Pearson Edexcel Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration is an NVQ/Competence & BTEC/Knowledge based qualification.

Entry requirements

The Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration apprenticeship will attract learners who have a keen interest in business and management. They are expected to demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

Entrants will come from a variety of backgrounds and with a range of experience, personal achievements and, in some cases, prior qualifications which may count towards the achievement of an Apprenticeship programme. Examples include learners who have:

• Held a position of responsibility at School or College
• Undertaken work experience within a business environment
• Achieved QCF Awards, Certificates, Diplomas or A Levels
• Completed other Advanced Apprenticeships from a wide range of sectors.

Apprentices working at this higher level are expected to have at least basic literacy and numeracy skills on which the Apprenticeship will build. FW Solutions Ltd require initial assessments in Maths, English and ICT to be completed. This is to assess the level of all applicants.

How you'll be assessed

Apprenticeship qualifications are delivered in the workplace. You will be allocated a personal Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator and will have access to our on-line study area where you will find all your learning materials. Your Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator will provide you with personal tutorial support and assessment at pre-arranged times. Assessment is through a variety of methods including observations in the workplace, witness testimonies, product evidence, professional discussions, assignments and project/case studies. All evidence will be logged to your electronic portfolio of evidence.

What you can do next

Higher level Apprentices, with support and opportunities in the workplace, can progress onto the Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship in Management & Leadership or undertake other business related qualifications at a Higher Education level.
