The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Housekeeping (QCF) is designed for people employed in roles such as a Housekeeper, Room Attendant or Chamber Maid. This is a work-based, competency based qualification, which will allow learners to develop knowledge, understanding and skills essential for working in a housekeeping environment. The qualification includes mandatory and optional units, allowing the learner to tailor the qualification to their role within the hospitality industry.
This qualification is for all learners aged 16 and above who are capable of reaching the required standards. FW Solutions Ltd issue Initial Assessments in English, Maths and ICT to assess the level of all applicants.
Employers are looking for those who are keen to work as part of the team, have a ‘can do attitude’ and have high standards of personal hygiene. Applicants will need basic communication skills on which the apprenticeship will build, be excellent time keepers and be willing to work shifts, which will often be outside the 9:00 – 5:00 pattern.
Qualifications are delivered in the workplace. You will be allocated a personal Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator and will have access to our on-line study area where you will find all your learning materials. Your Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator will provide you with personal tutorial support and assessment at pre-arranged times. Assessment is through a variety of methods including observations in the workplace, witness testimonies, product evidence, professional discussions, assignments and project/case studies. All evidence will be logged to your electronic portfolio of evidence.
