Whether you are already working or we find you a placement we will provide you with everything you need to complete your qualification. The courses we offer are based around a combination of mandatory and optional units and your Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator will advise you on your unit choices to fit your job role and career development.
The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People’s Services qualification provides candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to manage practice and lead others in children and young people’s services. It is appropriate for those employed as managers of settings or groups of settings, deputy managers and management trainees.
This qualification provides an opportunity to up skill existing Managers and Deputies, enabling them to develop management skills in preparation for taking on new roles and responsibilities that benefit the workplace and the service it provides.
Candidates must complete a minimum of 18 units, comprising:
all of the 12 Mandatory units
a minimum of 6 Optional units, of which a minimum of 4 units must come from Optional Group A

The Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (QCF) is for learners who work in, or who want to work in, the children and young people’s workforce in England.
This qualification is a recognised qualification for those wishing to enter the children and young people’s workforce in England and covers the age range from birth to 19 years. This qualification also requires the learner to spend time in a real work environment, confirms competence under supervision, where appropriate.
The qualification gives learners the opportunity to:
develop and demonstrate competence in working as part of the children and young people’s workforce in roles such as assistants in children’s centres, day nurseries, nursery schools and nursery classes, nursery nurses, care workers and registered childminders; develop technical skills and knowledge and understanding related to the
