Whether you are already working or we find you a placement we will provide you with everything you need to complete your qualification. The courses we offer are based around a combination of mandatory and optional units and your Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator will advise you on your unit choices to fit your job role and career development.

NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce – EYE

The Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Learning and Development (Early Years Educator)  apprenticeship is for people who work in, or want to work with children in Early Years settings in England only.

It gives learners the opportunity to:

  • demonstrate competence as an Early Years Educator, Childminder or Nursery Nurse
  • develop knowledge and skills related to the specified job roles in early years education
  • have existing skills recognised
  • achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification
  • develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning

Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard

The Early Years Educator is for learners who work in, or want to work in an Early Years Settings. This qualification will equip individuals with the skills and knowledge to work with and care for children from birth to 5 years old. It will enable learners to achieve Early Years Educator status. It gives learners the opportunity to: – demonstrate competence as an Early Years Educator, Child minder or Nursery Nurse – develop knowledge and skills related to the specified job roles in early years education – achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification – develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning

ProQual Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Childcare Practice and Management

This ProQual qualification is aimed at all practitioners working in the childcare workforce at Level 3, such as childminders, nursery practitioners, preschool practitioners, out of school/holiday provision workers. It allows learners the opportunity to develop the required skill levels to undertake a management role and support the high standards of childcare practice within the workplace.

ProQual Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for the Children and Young People’s Workforce

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People’s Services qualification provides candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to manage practice and lead others in children and young people’s services. It is appropriate for those employed as managers of settings or groups of settings, deputy managers and management trainees.

This qualification provides an opportunity to up skill existing Managers and Deputies, enabling them to develop management skills in preparation for taking on new roles and responsibilities that benefit the workplace and the service it provides.

Candidates must complete a minimum of 18 units, comprising:

 all of the 12 Mandatory units

 a minimum of 6 Optional units, of which a minimum of 4 units must come from Optional Group A

The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Playwork (QCF)

This qualification is nationally recognised and is aimed at learners working in a playwork setting. Settings could be out-of-school clubs and seasonal holiday clubs.

The Level 3 Diploma provides knowledge about the role of the Level 3 Playworker when working with children and young people between the ages of 4 to 16. It prepares learners for roles in management of play environments and as line managers of other staff.

The qualification covers the knowledge and skills needed when working unsupervised and learners will need to demonstrate their managerial skills in the workplace. It is aimed at experienced playworkers who have a wide knowledge and understanding of children and young people and now want to move on to a managerial role.
